Q. How do I book a one-off private doctor house call in London?

You may simply call us on our patient telephone line – 0203 713 4117 – and we will be able to take a few details down and get you booked in. You do not have to be a HealthClic member to request a home visit; but of course our members will get priority.

Usually your doctor will be with you within 1-2 hours, and prescription delivery is also available 24/7.

Q. What is concierge medicine?

Concierge Medicine (or Retainer Medicine), is a model where in exchange for an annual retainer fee, you have a much higher level of care by your primary care physician. This usually covers a 24/7 on-call physician, longevity planning, centrally accessible repository of records, personalised medicine and hospital care co-ordination. It began in the US over 20 years ago, and studies show that concierge practice patients are substantially healthier and less likely to fall unexpectedly or seriously ill due to preventable factors, thanks to the high level of care and preventive approach.

As a HealthClic member, you have access to exactly this. In addition you need never worry about paperwork, doctor’s letters or bookings again; we manage everything for you and arrange full clinical itineraries. Your Healthcare Representative also takes a proactive approach in offering you bespoke health and medical services tailored to your needs and goals. We are here for you seven days a week.

Q. I am based outside of London. Can I still use the service?

Yes, our doctors are able to see you even if you are an international student, traveller or visiting London on business. Some of our doctors also speak additional languages. We have a few out of town members, for whom we regularly arrange their check-ups during their time in London, and they call their doctor while they are abroad.

Our visiting doctor service covers all of Central London and the London boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster; however, we should be able to send doctors out to any location in Zones 1-3. You might have to allow some additional time for a further out visit. Do get in touch if you have any questions.

Q. How will I be billed for the service?

HealthClic will take your payment details either when you join us as a member, or at the time of requesting a doctor over the phone or online. For membership, we offer basic and bespoke pricing options, please get in touch for more information. The fee will be confirmed with you at the time of request if you are paying up front for a home visit.

Q. Can I have blood tests at home?

Yes. HealthClic GPs are fully qualified and experienced GPs who can provide almost all the services as your usual doctor. Our doctors are able to carry out blood tests in your home or hotel, refer you onto secondary care practitioners and specialists if deemed necessary, and can provide you with private prescriptions and doctor’s letters. HealthClic GPs, through our extensive network, can refer only HealthClic members to some of the most recognised private practitioners and hospitals in London. HealthClic can also provide [copies of] letters or prescriptions for your usual GP with your consent.

Q. Does my private medical insurance cover a private GP home visit?

We do not accept payment directly from insurers and require upfront payment, however are happy to provide doctor’s reports and receipts to issue to your health insurer. Most of our one-off patients do this to claim the fee back.

Membership is not redeemable against health insurers, as we like to keep our patient list restricted to ensure the highest possible level of service.
